Barry J. Cunningham, PhD, MAI
Founder & CEO

Barry has been consulting on real estate related matters for thirty years, having worked in forty states so far. He has extensive experience in litigation and in guiding clients in due diligence. He has taught courses and seminars to appraisers, assessors, and bar associations on a variety of topics, including Testifying as an Expert Witness, Implications of Recent Case Law, Debates over Business Enterprise Value in Hotel Valuation, Statutory Mandates in Valuing Affordable Housing, Conflict Resolution in Value Disputes, and Effectively Managing Tax Appeals. He has a BA in Economics from Charter Oak State College and a Master’s and PhD in Education from Capella University. He also holds the prestigious MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and a graduate-level Certificate in Mediation and Conflict Resolution from Champlain College’s Woodbury Institute.

Jason Blankenship, MAI
Managing Director

At Clarus, Jason is a proven operations guy and one who's expert witness testimony is unrivaled. He has worked with federally regulated financial institutions, private investors, attorneys, government entities, small and large companies, and individuals as an appraiser, valuation expert, advisor, broker, agent, and consultant since 2007. Jason founded ETN Consultants which remains a thriving appraisal company. Jason has received the prestigious MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and is a licensed real estate broker.

Casey Lyon, MS Accounting, MAI
Director, Price Allocations

Casey Lyon, MAI, has fourteen plus years of experience as a commercial real estate appraiser and years of experience as an accountant before that. Casey attended the University of Mississippi and obtained a Master’s Degree in Accountancy. After college, his professional career began at a national accounting firm which laid a foundation for an in depth understanding of income-producing properties and allocating price between real estate and non-realty components of a sale.
